The Tin Soldier
in the box
breaking free,
getting awashed
by the strong current
danger
in the box, outside the box,
always feeling kind of a stranger
Like the Ballerina
so fragile, yet so strong
her left leg high in the air,
careful not to do something wrong,
So steadfast, so fair,
so full of love
hiding it inside.
So full of high expectations…
who would pass the trial?
She doesn’t want to return
to the King and the Queen
Has anybody seen …
the Tin Soldier – she adds after a while.
It‘s the first time the other toys see her cry.
When he returned
pale and thin
she turned away,
didn’t want to be seen.
He longed to say something,
she longed to reply
both remained silent
loosing their balance, their poise
not listening to their hearts,
not being able to pause.
The tears soaking her dress,
he thinking she doesn’t care.
He was about to confess his feelings,
but now he didn’t care.
Then he was thrown
into the fire,
his heart about to melt.
The Ballerina suddenly felt
she too was dying.
Her arms spread,
looked like dying.
Anubis came,
took the hearts from the flame.
Purifying, removing the blame.
The nasty troll, the merciless rat, the naughty kid,
the cruel Queen and King…
Maat putting their hearts on the scale
made them see the link,
feel grateful for all the hardship,
for his paper boat,
her paper dress,
the bad news, the stress…
Awashed, cleaned by fire,
they were granted a wish.
Their desire
turned the new blank page into a kite.
Hold on!
Tight!
Each flew into different direction,
later to unite.
The Vulnerable General
The Dancer in the Dark
went through fire,
got the spark,
chose a dolphin
instead of a shark.
Instead of fast flowing gutter
Pacific Ocean.
Everything‘s changing,
we‘re in motion.
Creating reality
by getting rid of the illusionary past.
We decide what‘s to stay,
what‘s to last,
worthy to embalm.
If your heart‘s light as a feather,
you can stay calm.
If not, just keep on feeling.
That‘s the remedy,
that‘s the solution,
that‘s the healing.
Sharing our wounds with others,
helping them on their path,
helping them leave their cardboard castle,
going outside
by turning in.
Trusting the universe,
there‘s nothing to hide,
nowhere to sink.
If we stop blaming
and start to sing
our own song
no tones are wrong
exchanging passion
for compassion
